User Reviews Unique only goes so far (4 / 10) by The S The Battle Spirit games have sort of a unique twist on the Smash Bros.-esque platforming combat games. The winner of the match is determined as follows: whenever an character is hit, spheres are knocked out of him or her. Collect more of these balls than your opponent when time runs out, and you are the victor. This allows for some interesting back-and-forth tug of war type matches, but unfortunately, the game is marred by sluggish gameplay. The graphics, personality conveyed through the characters, the victory system... all of this falls flat when the game is basically unplayable.
