CPU Opponents
Every player is armed with their own decks and tactics, CPU players are no different. The key to victory is to know your opponent. The information provided here may give you the clue you need to succeed.
D Rank - To be honest, most D Rank opponents are pretty bad at this game, but that doesn't mean you should let your guard down. Even they can surprise you if you let them.
- Nori wants to be a great player someday, but he's just not that good. As a result, he collects a lot of second rate cards and uses tactics most other players have long since advanced beyond.
- Saki's not big on winning, she really only plays to make friends and be popular. Even if she's got a clear advantage, she's been known to make some mistakes just to make her opponent feel better.
- Take's a new player with lots of enthusiasm and a suprising amount of talent. Typically he puts up a good fight at first, but it starts to fall apart the longer he battles.
- Take introduced his girlfriend to the game because he thought she'd be easy practice, but Mika's managed to win every single time they've played. No one else seems to have trouble beating her though.
- Yuki may not look like she knows what she's doing, but she always seem to have luck on her side. Making rookie mistakes with her is a good way to come away with a loss.
C Rank - C Rank players are casual players who have been around the block more than a few times. Most of them have even competed in a few tournaments, though they rarely get anywhere against the more skilled players.
- Mikami's got a penchant for monsters and otherwise beastly cards. It seems unorthodox and his playing style might not be pretty, but more often than not it's enough to get the job done.
- Taka is fired up about card clash and plays like it too. He's the most aggressive player out there and often intimidates his opponents with his uncompromising offense.
- Keiko plays to collect her favorite cards more than anything else, so her decks are not very diverse. She's spent a lot of time with them though, so watch out.
- Aki's kind of a spoilsport and many of her opponents throw in the towel just to avoid it altogether. In battle she likes to keep her opponents at a perpetual disadvantage just so she can gloat about it later.
- Yuri's a passive player who avoids frustration by taking each match slow and steady. A lot of impatient players burn out early because her matches take so long.
B Rank - B Rank players are the who's who among card players. They get a lot of clout and praise from newer players, and have the experience and skill to back it up.
- Kid's skills come from years of running tournaments out of his store, where he watched many players come and go, rise and fall. Some call him The Comeback Kid because he often pulls upsets on players who think they have it in the bag.
- Anything you can do, Nonaka thinks she can do better. Nonaka is always up for competition even against better opponents, and is ready to do whatever it takes to win.
A Rank - A Rank players are the best of the best. They have the best decks, and they have the best tactics. You'd best know what you're doing before you challenge them.
- Cap was a nobody who came out of nowhere and snatched victory from resident card playing champion Shin. Now he's got the respect of the entire card playing community in addition to almost unmatched skill and raw talent.
- Shin was top dog until Cap came along won what Shin considers to be a fluke victory. His obsession with winning makes a lot of people confuse him with Taka, but anyone whose played him knows the difference.
- Comet makes little notion of Cap's success because she was the one who taught him everything he knows. Most players come to Comet expecting to use her as a stepping stone to her brother, but find out the hard way just how foolish that plan is.
- Kei's been around the card playing community for a very long time, but didn't start competing until very recently. She's got a more casual attitude than her peers, but as a result she's got experience with a wider variety of players. The secret to her success is being prepared for any situation.
S Rank - S Rank players are mysterious players of unknown skill levels. For one reason or another they have chosen to remain out of the spotlight, and its up to you to figure out their secrets.
- One of the newest players, Blues is still reluctant to reveal himself to everyone. For a while now he's been challenging opponents at random, presumably to get a better appreciation for competition.
- Having long since lost interest in competing and collecting cards, Fenix only challenges players who have forgotten what it means to lose. To date, his ego is yet to get the better of him.
